The health and fitness industry is a multi-billion dollar per year enterprise.  People everywhere engage in activity to stay healthy. Being healthy can improve relationships with the opposite sex, make people see you in a positive light, and even improve your chances of getting a good job. It’s easy to see how important that good fitness is to your overall wellbeing.

But, because there is so much info out there, it can be difficult to know exactly where to begin.  Can you pick up on the latest health fad that you see on TV on the 2:00 am infomercial? Or, do you join a gym, or purchase a piece of workout or fitness equipment for your residence?

The reality is that all of these have merit.  There are many different paths to reaching your health and fitness goals.  It all depends on your objectives, likes, and dislikes.

That is the first rule of a successful exercise plan.  Find something you like to perform.  Or, at least choose something you don’t hate but which can still help you meet your goals.

You will need to find the best combination that is right for you.  If you’re looking for general fitness, the biggest key is to be busy.  You could hike, ride a bike, or even participate in an activity like basketball. If you are focused and disciplined, you might want to choose a boxing class or getting involved with your local aerobics class.

  1. It is important you stay hydrated. Drinking lots of water can help keep your energy level high and help your cells to reconstruct.
